The Salvation Army After-School Programs

The Salvation Army After-School Programs offer kids a place to study, read, learn, connect with friends, play sports, and enrich the mind. Many of these after-school programs complement The Salvation Army summer camp programs throughout the year. There are over 400 after-school programs nationwide.

The Salvation Army After-School Programs take place at Kroc Community Centers, where each facility offers after-school programs, recreational opportunities, and community programs dedicated to fostering healthy futures. The Salvation Army camp counselors are equipped to help children navigate complicated emotions and struggles related to poverty, and they are trained to recognize the effects of the stressors of poverty on children and respond to a child’s emotional needs. The Salvation Army is one of the largest social service providers in the United States and is committed to serving neighbors in need of assistance in every zip code throughout the nation.
