The Salvation Army Summer Camps offer activities such as swimming, canoeing, hiking, archery, other sports, arts and crafts, music, drama, team-building activities, leadership training, community service projects, and scouting. The camps are available as both day and overnight summer camps through a network of free summer camps that are open to kids of all ages, regardless of family income level.

The Salvation Army camp counselors are equipped to help children navigate complicated emotions and struggles that can arise for those who experience poverty and related hardships. The counselors are trained to recognize the effects of the stressors of poverty on children and respond to a child’s emotional needs so kids feel safe, included, and welcome.
