Victory Gymnastics Academy was founded in 2013 and is fully owned and operated by Gary Stam, who has been involved in gymnastics as a gymnast and coach for 48 years. The program sometimes groups kids in classes by ages 5–10 years old and 10 and up and is attentive to the various skill levels of students and coaches them accordingly. The tumbling program teaches kids how to tumble safely and with proper technique, reinforces safe habits, and uses strength training and hands-on spotting techniques to prepare participants for sports such as cheer, gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, dance, and martial arts. The program states that gymnastics is for everyone, offers a variety of fun and challenging classes for kids of all ages, and aims to help each gymnast become the best they can be, finding a victory in everything they do.

Victory Gymnastics Academy states that it serves the community by creating a safe and fun place for children of all ages to develop the skills to reach their gymnastics goals and offers a gym culture where everyone is welcome, with success measured one student at a time. The program has produced High School Gymnasts of the Year, as well as state, regional, and national champions for both high school and club gymnastics and other sports including track and diving. Since the program started, it has had a gymnast receive a full athletic scholarship to the University of North Carolina, a level 9 national champion, many state, regional, and national team members and champions, and has supplied sectional, regional, and state champion gymnasts to both high school programs it serves. The program reports that many former gymnasts have become athlete of the year in gymnastics, track, and diving.
