The IUC Prospect Camp runs June 10–11 from 9am–3pm for ages 15–19 and is for potential student athletes who are interested in playing collegiate basketball. Campers are grouped by age and skill level whenever possible. The National Basketball Academy camps involve a lot of individual skill development and break the game down while enhancing specific skills in all areas needed to be an effective basketball player and have fun. Abilities developed in camp are applied in daily competitions.
IUC staff deliver on court instruction over the 2 days of the IUC Prospect Camp. The Sports Programs Manager is Seth Rice, and the Sports Coordinator is Collin Lollar. The Board’s mission is “To enrich lives” within the department’s planning area, which consists of the incorporated areas of the City of Columbus. The City of Columbus is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and discrimination in employment because of race, religion, creed, color, natural origin, ancestry, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or liability for service in the Armed Forces of the United States is prohibited by City policy.
Youth Basketball Programs also notes community involvement through a partnership with the Salle de Lutins Fencing Club for a session of fencing.
