Youth Sports Programs offers a range of activities including a youth baseball league with T-ball, Jr Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch, Minor, Major, and Senior baseball, as well as youth basketball camps, youth fencing, and a youth flag football league. The National Basketball Academy Basketball Camp and the IUC Prospect basketball camp are part of the basketball offerings, and Youth Fencing is offered in partnership with the Salle de Lutins Fencing Club. The 2026 Spring Youth Flag Football League and Cincinnati Reds Winter Camps are also listed among the youth sports options.

The 2026 Spring Youth Baseball League holds games and practices at Clifty Park, with T-Ball and Jr Coach Pitch games on Saturday mornings and Machine Pitch, Minor, Major, and Senior games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Registration for this baseball league runs from December 15 to February 27 at 5 p.m., with an early discount deadline of February 13 and a refund deadline of February 20 at 5 p.m.; division placement is based on the child’s age on April 30, 2026, and all children must be 4 years old by that date. The 2026 Spring Youth Flag Football League for ages 5–13 runs May 23–June 27 with six Saturday morning games, includes a single elimination tournament for the U11 and U14 divisions, and offers registration from March 2–April 17 at 5 p.m., with an early discount deadline of April 3 and a refund deadline of April 10 at 5 p.m.

The National Basketball Academy Basketball Camp is a week-long session of concentrated basketball training for ages 7–15, held June 22–26 from 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with March 20–May 14 registration for $250, regular registration at $260 from May 15–June 26, and late registration at $265. The IUC Prospect Camp is a two-day basketball camp for ages 15–19 on June 10–11 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m., with registration from April 6–June 5 at 5 p.m. Youth Fencing sessions run on Thursdays in monthly blocks from November through April, with ages 7–11 meeting 6–7 p.m. and ages 12+ meeting 7–8 p.m., and session lengths ranging from three to four weeks; registration windows are listed for each month, and equipment can be rented for $20 during class.

The Youth Baseball League mission is “to ensure that each participant registered for our program has a safe, fun, and enriching experience with baseball,” and the Columbus Parks and Recreation Board mission is “To enrich lives” within its planning area. The Sports Programs Manager is Seth Rice, and the Sports Coordinator is Collin Lollar, with division managers listed for each baseball level, including Ross Thomas for Jr Coach Pitch, Brett Boezeman for Machine Pitch, and Derick Olson for Minor and Major divisions. Cincinnati Reds Winter Camps are described as being in their fourth year locally and part of a 14-year program that has “one of the finest youth camp programs in the country” with a “progressive curriculum that targets pitching, hitting, fielding or catching.” Columbus Parks and Recreation uses the Remind notification system to alert participants of cancellations and closures due to weather, and participants in the youth baseball and youth flag football leagues are instructed to check the Remind app and/or Facebook for game status updates, with practice cancellations determined by the coach.
