Youth Sports Programs include a range of activities such as the Youth Baseball League with T-ball, Jr Coach Pitch, Machine Pitch, Minor, Major, and Senior divisions, as well as recreational Youth Flag Football, basketball camps, and Youth Fencing sessions. The program also offers the Cincinnati Reds Winter Camp with a progressive curriculum that targets pitching, hitting, fielding, or catching, along with The National Basketball Academy Basketball Camp and the IUC Prospect Camp. Youth Fencing sessions provide instruction on form, technique, and how to properly engage in a bout.

Cincinnati Reds Winter Camps are in their 4th year locally, and over the past 14 years the Reds have built what is described as one of the finest youth camp programs in the country. The Youth Baseball League states its mission as “to ensure that each participant registered for our program has a safe, fun, and enriching experience with baseball,” and the Columbus Parks and Recreation Board mission is “To enrich lives” within the department’s planning area. Division placement for the Youth Baseball League is determined by the child’s age on 4/30/26, and all children must be 4 years of age by 4/30/26 to participate in the 2026 Spring Youth Baseball League. The Youth Flag Football League is recreational flag football for boys and girls ages 5–13, with divisions determined by age on 4/30/26, and all children must be 4 years of age by 1/31/26 to participate. The Youth Flag Football season consists of six games played on Saturday mornings, with a single elimination tournament at the conclusion of the regular season for the U11 and U14 divisions.

Youth Fencing partners with the Salle de Lutins Fencing Club, and equipment can be rented for $20 during the class. Columbus Parks and Recreation uses the Remind notification system to alert participants of cancellations and closures due to weather, and game status for Youth Baseball and Youth Flag Football can be checked via the Remind app and Facebook, while practice cancellation decisions are determined by the coach. The Sports Programs Manager is Seth Rice, and the Sports Coordinator is Collin Lollar.
