About

The After-School Program includes homework assistance, tutoring, and other academic support each day. The program also offers indoor and outdoor recreation and individualized social-emotional support as part of its daily activities.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday from 2:30–5:30 p.m. starting Thursday, July 31, 2025
• Price: A sliding-scale fee by income and accepts CCDF.

The program offers daily planned activities and educational opportunities, a free snack each day, and programming during school breaks such as fall, winter, and spring break. After-school transportation is provided from Daniel Webster IPS 46, Edison IPS 47, and William Penn IPS 49, and guardians arrange other transportation for children who attend different schools.

The program is part of Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center, whose mission is “Enriching people with help, hope, and new opportunities.” The center participates in community efforts such as the Indiana Diaper Bank Partnership. Parents and community members have shared experiences describing the center’s impact on their lives and families, including support with skills, vouchers, affordable housing, job training, computer skills, financial planning, child care, and access to a food pantry.
