Arts for Learning Indiana offers arts education programs for youth. Its offerings include 45 minute hands-on workshops led by professional teaching artists, 45 minute interactive shows with livestream and pre-recorded options, in-depth residencies with three or more visits, a three-week summer program for high school students called ArtForce, a year-long residency called Arts & Literacy, and other arts education experiences.

  • Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts — Trains early childhood educators to use the performing arts as a teaching strategy to engage children in active learning across curricula.
  • Fresh StART — Improves an underused area within or around a school with an art installation inspired by students.
  • Arts & Literacy — year-long residency · Uses a school’s reading and language arts curriculum as the basis for artist-led workshops.

Arts for Learning Indiana has been serving since 1961. It brings the arts to learning communities to champion creativity, innovate education, and transform lives. The organization partners with schools, libraries, parks, and other community organizations throughout Indiana, engages approximately 40,000 youth in the arts each year, supports Indianapolis Public Schools, and has 70+ Teaching Artists. It is a premier provider of creative learning programs for youth in Indiana, is affiliated with the national Young Audiences Arts for Learning network, and is Central Indiana Wolf Trap.
