Iibada Dance Company Programs are part of an academy program for students who desire to study the art of dance and become performing artists. Classes are available for all skill levels, and adult and all-boys class sessions will begin in the fall. Iibada Dance Company has served the Indianapolis community for 35 years and was founded in 1989, and it states that for 36 years it has served and produced artists within communities. The organization describes itself as a predominantly African American organization that focuses on providing arts programming to low-income families in underserved communities, and it welcomes all aspiring dancers regardless of background, ability, religion, gender, orientation, or race.

The mission of Iibada Dance Company is to provide cultural enrichment, discipline, arts education, and opportunities to build and empower youth, families, and communities through the art of dance and to build skills for life to help unlock their full potential. IDC programs are described as being designed to provide access, exposure, and opportunity to youth and young adults in Indianapolis, surrounding communities, and beyond, with a focus on providing access to dance education to youth throughout these areas. Iibada Dance Company reports that it has served three generations of students, and that these students have become young performers and professionals throughout the nation. According to the program, students have danced for companies such as Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Philadanco, and Dayton Contemporary Dance Theatre, and dancers have been cast in productions such as The Lion King, The Color Purple, Dream Girls, and Chicago. Iibada hosts a Summer Dance Camp and offers partnerships with other summer programs to introduce dance to their participants, and it states that it is creating opportunity for students to achieve and sustain performing arts careers locally. The organization notes that contributions help artistically enrich youth in underserved areas, provide tuition assistance for families, and support after-school programming for partnering schools throughout Indianapolis.
