Jameson Camp Summer Camp offers overnight summer camp programming that includes engaging teambuilding activities. The camp takes place on a campus that includes several event facilities, lodging accommodations, and on-site food service. The program takes place on over 130 acres of forest, meadow, and streams.
• Ages: 7–17 years old
• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Jameson Camp is a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower youth by removing barriers to healthy and vibrant experiences in nature. Jameson Camp began in 1928. The camp partners with the Indianapolis community and organizations around the nation, and its programs are supported by donors, volunteers, staff, and community partners.
Jameson Camp staff members are especially trained to serve the needs of young people with social, emotional, and behavioral diagnoses. Behavioral Specialists are available to support any camper in need of extra support. Counselors receive more than 40 hours of training that covers diversity and inclusion, CPR and first aid, life guarding, child abuse prevention, de-escalation, safe food handling, and how to modify the curriculum for different development stages. The camp maintains a 1:5 counselor-to-camper ratio and employs counselors from around the world.
