Jeanie Gensheimer Martial Arts

Jeanie Gensheimer Martial Arts offers karate classes and summer camp. The karate classes are open to children ages 6+ and adults, and families are allowed and encouraged to train together. The summer camp includes karate and gymnastics camps.

• Karate classes — ages 6+ · Tuesdays 5:15-6:00 pm, 6:00-7:00 pm, 7:00-8:00 pm; Thursdays 5:15-6:00 pm, 6:00-7:00 pm; Saturdays 9:00-10:00 am, 10:00-11:00 am, 11:00 am-12:00 pm · $55–$225 per month · Classes are offered three times a week at The Riviera Club and students may choose how many days they attend.

About the provider

Jeanie Gensheimer is the leader of the program. She is an 8th degree black belt in Shorei Goju Ryu, a traditional Okinawan style, and has a master’s degree in marital and family therapy from Butler University. The program also teaches karate classes at Indianapolis area public and private schools.

Please register with the camp locations. Students are respected for individuality and progress at their own rate. Discipline and self control are gently encouraged. Students learn appropriate use of karate. Dojo Kun: Karate begins and ends with courtesy. Actions have consequences. We lead by example. We are responsible. Therefore, there is no excuse for bad manners.
