The Martial Arts program focuses on traditional martial arts as a form of sports and physical activity. Participants take part in Martial Arts training that follows traditional martial arts practices as part of a holistic fitness experience. The program description states that participants discover lifelong skills and enhance coordination, focus, agility and goal-setting while taking part in this traditional martial arts training.

The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis began in Central Indiana in 1854 and operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
