YMCA Camp Carson offers activities such as sliding down water ziplines, riding a horse, riding a dirt bike, working in a pottery studio, and practicing archery. It is described as an overnight summer camp that has been providing safe, fun, inclusive, healthy, and challenging camp experiences for youth since 1940. Campers and staff attend from around the country and around the world.

The mission of the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana, Inc. states that, following the example of Jesus Christ, it responds to community needs by serving all people, especially youth, through relationships and activities that promote healthy spirit, mind and body.
