The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts (SICA) is a not-for-profit organization operated by a volunteer board of directors and an executive director. Its mission is to provide art education and enjoyment to the surrounding communities in both a gallery and studio environment and to draw the attention of the state and surrounding states to Jackson County as an art conscious region. Activities are made possible in part by the Columbus Area Arts Council, the Indiana Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Membership is available and offers discounts on classes and art supplies at SICA, a discount on framing at Artistic Impressions in downtown Seymour, and is tax deductible.
