Art Bend Kids Art Camps is led by experienced art instructors who are passionate about teaching, including instructors Julian Alcantar and Greg Tenhave. In 2016, two artists, Greg and Julian, opened what was then Gallery 2910, with a grand opening on July 7, 2016, and in 2023 the studio moved to 608 S. Eddy St., South Bend, IN, as part of its evolution. The program’s mission states that creativity is for everyone and that it aims to make art accessible, fun, and meaningful for all ages and skill levels, and it was rebranded from Gallery 2910 to Art Bend to reflect a broader mission to serve the community through art in a dynamic and inclusive way. Art Bend notes that it is located in the heart of Michiana and describes itself as the region’s favorite destination for creative expression, and also offers a venue owner option described as “We bring the party, you provide the space. Zero cost. Zero work. All the fun.”
