Youth Dance, Cheer, and Gymnastics includes activities in hip hop, tap, cheer, and gymnastics. The program takes place as part of the broader offerings that also include pickleball, group fitness classes, swim lessons, and driver education.
The program is part of the Owen County Family YMCA, which was incorporated on June 8, 2000, following the establishment of the Owen County Fitness Center on March 12, 1996, and the grand opening of the YMCA facility in March 2003. The YMCA’s mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The organization is one of Owen County’s leading nonprofits, with a focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The YMCA is anchored in more than 10,000 neighborhoods around the country and works side-by-side with neighbors so that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
