Country Kids Day Care

Country Kids Day Care uses Frogstreet curriculum, including Frog Street Infant Curriculum for infants. The program includes sensory play, tummy time, hands-on activities, group play, outdoor fun, early literacy, math, problem-solving, creativity, and activities and field trips for school-age children. It also provides nutritious snacks in the morning and afternoon and a nutritious hot lunch daily.

Programs

• Infant Program — 6 weeks – 12 months · Nurturing, calm environment with individualized attention, sensory play, tummy time, and support for cognitive, social, and physical development.
• Toddler Care Program — 1 – 3 years · Safe, structured, and nurturing environment with hands-on activities, group play, outdoor fun, and support for language, social, motor, and self-help skills.
• Preschool Program — 3 – 5 years · Structured environment focusing on kindergarten readiness, early literacy, math, problem-solving, creativity, and social skills.
• School-Age Program — 5 – 12 years · Before and after-school care and a summer program with activities and field trips in a safe, structured environment.

About the provider

Country Kids Day Care opened in Lenexa, Kansas in December 1996 and later opened a second location in Olathe, Kansas after two years of work beginning in 2016. Its leadership team includes Linda Weld, Jeremy, Jamie, Danny, Melody Goodwin, and Mandy Heldstab. The mission is to provide quality child care and early education services in an environment that is warm and nurturing so that it enhances children’s positive sense of themselves and provides optimal learning opportunities to enable children to grow socially, physically, emotionally, and intellectually.

Open door policy for parent visits. Programs are designed to promote development through play in a safe environment with free choice and opportunities to explore and create.
