Summer Camps for Kids & Teens offers “WILDLY FUN Summer Camps for children of all ages” at Rolling Hills Zoo. The program includes three Summer Camp options and gives campers access to over 100 species of wildlife and more than 120 animals, along with a Wildlife Museum that features exhibits across the African Plains, Arctic Tundra, Rainforests, North America, the Middle East, and the Far East. Zoo and museum admission are included in one ticket for participants in Summer Camps for Kids & Teens.

Rolling Hills Zoo’s history includes the creation of Rolling Hills Ranch in the early 1980s, the addition of animals in the late 1980s, and the formation of the Rolling Hills Refuge Wildlife Conservation Center in 1995, with the zoo opening to the public in 1999. The wildlife museum vision led to construction of a 64,000-square-foot building in 2000, the conference center’s first event in April 2002, interior museum construction in 2003, and the museum opening in March 2005, followed by a name change to Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure in 2009. The organization operates as a public, non-profit entity.
Rolling Hills Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA), is an Accredited Member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, and is KultureCity Sensory Inclusive Certified, with free Sensory Bags available to use during a visit. Additional services include free dog kennel service and stroller and scooter rentals. The museum experience is climate controlled year-round, and the zoo features naturalistic animal exhibits in a landscaped, rural setting, with tram service available seasonally.
The mission of Rolling Hills Zoo is expressed as “Touching Hearts • Igniting Passion • Saving Wildlife,” with a vision to create a place that provides enriching experiences to inspire appreciation and responsible stewardship of the natural world, and a dedication to the preservation of wildlife through participation in conservation programs and by providing fun and interactive educational experiences. Rolling Hills Zoo is involved in wildlife conservation around the world, participates in conservation programs on local, national, and international levels, offers public science education programming and conservation and animal welfare projects, and provides volunteer opportunities for all ages, including adults and two programs for teens.
