About
Jefferson County CEP YMCA School-Age Child Care – School Break Camps includes homework support and literacy enrichment along with weekly themed activities in art, STEM, nutrition, and movement. The program offers healthy snacks and supervised physical activity, as well as themed enrichment, physical activity, and field trips during school break camps. For Snow Day Sites and In-Service Days, children bring or pack a lunch, and snacks are provided.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Before school care from 7 am until school starts and after school care from school dismissal to 6 pm, with full-day care during most school breaks, in-service days, and snow days
• Price: Weekly rates start at $63 per child; registration fees apply
Staff are CPR and First Aid certified, background checked, and trained extensively in youth development and safety protocols. The YMCA of Greater Louisville is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit social services organization dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The YMCA’s Childcare Enrichment Program (CEP) is operated in partnership with Jefferson County Public Schools at schools across the district. YMCA Camp Piomingo, associated with the YMCA, is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA).
