About

Military Adventure Camp includes activities such as military drills and ceremonies, obstacle courses, rappelling, gas mask training, and self defense and martial arts. Participants may learn basic marksmanship, shoot assault-style rifles, practice sniper skills including urban sniping, and develop fieldcraft and stalking skills along with observation and reporting techniques. Some sessions include water survival and in‑water survival, Zodiac Seal water training, water raids in full gear, drone reconnaissance and strikes, hostile environment asset protection, and asset and executive protection, as well as tower and cliff rappelling, hand-to-hand combat, and 10,000 foot airborne jumps.

• Ages: 12–18 years old
• Schedule: Available 8am–midnight, 7 days a week, with 1–2 week fully immersive summer programs; specific options include a one week Cadet Airborne Jump School that culminates in 10,000 foot airborne jumps, a one week Cadet Sniper School, and a two week Basic Cadet Training course

Programs at Military Adventure Camp are developed and taught by ex-Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, and other prior military and law enforcement experienced individuals. Courses are modeled after real world Army, Marine, Navy, and private military training, and 1–2 week fully immersive summer programs are described as a condensed training as a foundation for careers in defense or military fields. The Sousley Military Institute connected with the camp offers high school credit to participants in Physical Education and Leadership, and the camp states that it teaches more than physical skills and instills mental stamina, leadership, self-discipline, self-leadership, and self-reliance. The organization states that recruits are not obliged to enter any form of military service after completing a course and that it is not affiliated with any military or company.

Camp Sousley, which runs Military Adventure Camp, describes itself as a privately operated military camp for youth and a standalone facility, with its property dedicated entirely to military training operations and operating year round. It is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization with 18 unique courses, combined cadre experience of 150, and participants from 13 countries, and it reports having trained two Saudi princes. The camp states that it is staffed 24 hours a day with security cameras and a strict code of conduct in place, and that most skills taught are not U.S.-specific and can be used in militaries and security companies around the world. It also notes that it is an option for foreign students seeking a summer military preparatory program and that it responds to most inquiries within 24 hours.

One description of Military Adventure Camp notes that, unlike camps that offer sports such as soccer and baseball or basic riflery, this camp for ages 12–18 includes shooting assault-style rifles, practicing sniper skills, and hand-to-hand combat. The camp’s stated mission is “Preparing the next generation of great American heroes.”
