Bluegrass Youth Ballet

Bluegrass Youth Ballet offers Creative Movement (Pre-School Ballet for ages 3-5), Pre-Ballet (Primary School-Aged Ballet for ages 5-8), Elementary A, Elementary B, Elementary C, Intermediate A, Intermediate B, Intermediate C, Advanced A, and Advanced B. Classes include once-a-week 45-minute and one-hour ballet classes, twice-a-week elementary classes that meet for 1, 1.25, or 1.5 hours, and intermediate and advanced classes that include technique, pre-pointe or pointe, conditioning, variations, and performance.

About the provider

Bluegrass Youth Ballet states that it engages and inspires youth by providing access to the art of dance throughout its community. It also provides performance opportunities for students, works with businesses, community partners, and schools, emphasizes outreach to disadvantaged or marginalized youth, and makes dance accessible through the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).

Positive, nurturing, and non-competitive environment; student placement is based on technique, physical development, age, and experience; new students ages 8 and up, or those returning after time away, must complete an evaluation before enrolling in Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced or Pre-Professional levels; annual registration fee per dancer is $35; sibling discount is 15% for the second sibling and 10% for each additional sibling; TAP applications for 2026-2027 open in May and close on June 12th.
