About the provider
Jess Alfreds is the founder and director of Carolina Kids Co-Op. In April 2022, she posted in a local Facebook group asking if anyone wanted something different, and a dozen families showed up. Within two years, the Myrtle Beach location was serving over 150 students, and today there are 17 communities across the Southeast using this approach, serving close to 1,000 students total. The program is described as secular and inclusive, with Compassion, Community, Mastery, and Innovation listed as core principles.
