Summer Camps

Summer Camps are weekly STEM day camps. Most classes are half-day weeks, and a full-day week can be formed by combining morning and afternoon week-long sessions with a sack lunch. Morning sessions run 8:30 am-12:00 pm, afternoon sessions run 1:00 pm-4:30 pm, and the daily schedule runs 8:30 am-4:30 pm with drop-off and pick-up between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The weekly price is $265.

About the provider

Newton’s Attic was founded in 1998 by Bill Cloyd. Its mission is to stimulate interest in science and engineering through hands-on projects, classes, and summer camps. The organization has provided programs for middle and high schools and groups in Fayette and surrounding counties, as well as the University of Kentucky, Berea College, EKU, and WKU.

Registration is open for Summer 2026. Most classes are offered repeatedly throughout the summer, wait-lists are usually accommodated, and extra sessions are often added as popular classes fill. Earlier drop-off or later pickup can be arranged for a small fee during registration. Payment in full is due at registration. Cancellations more than one week before the start date receive 100% credit; one week to 72 hours prior receive 75% credit; within 72 hours receive 50% credit; after the class starts, no refund or credit. Grade levels indicate students entering and exiting that grade level.
