Y swim instructors are nationally certified, and their training includes CPR, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration. The Telford Community Center YMCA has served since the 1930s and was formally chartered as a YMCA in 1984.
If there is lightning within 10 miles, or if thunder is heard, there will be immediate closure of the pool deck for no less than 30 minutes from the last lightning strike or sound of thunder. Staff will make all efforts to reach out if the pool is closed due to weather during their swim lesson. The program page states, "We do not refund swim lessons due to inclement weather."
