About the provider
Bluegrass Soccer Club was founded to meet a growing need for competitive youth soccer in Versailles, Kentucky. The club says it operates in Central Kentucky and serves the Versailles community, works closely with Woodford Youth Soccer Association (WYSA), and has players represent the club across Kentucky and surrounding states in tournaments and leagues. Its mission is to develop skilled players with strong character, teamwork, and leadership, with age-appropriate training, strong fundamentals, confidence, discipline, sportsmanship, and personal growth. The board and staff listed on the About page include Brad Towe, Mathieu Billarant, Jamie Whitman, Laura Poulton, Trip Rogers, Matt Praria, Mike Cocanougher, Josh Johnson, Cory Franklin, Keith DeYoung, Aaron Stover, and Nicholas Browning.
Players are expected to attend all practices unless otherwise communicated, come prepared, give their best effort, and show respect for teammates, coaches, opponents, and referees. Families are expected to support the club's mission and maintain positive communication. The club says families commit to the full season (Fall + Spring sessions, with exceptions for high school students). Tryouts are held annually. Team placement is based on birth year, skill level, and development goals.
