Since beginning in 1999, GRACE Camp Inc. has operated as a 501(C)3 nonprofit, Christian based, culturally diverse, interdenominational organization. The camp’s stated purpose is to provide, free of charge, a week of Christian camping for children of prisoners, with the aim to expand their world in a special fulfilling week. The camp’s philosophy is to demonstrate unconditional love to campers who may never before have been offered or accepted that gift from their family or friends, and notes that for many of them, there has never been a gift given without something expected in return. The camp’s stated result is to make a difference in the lives of these children by showing them love and planting seeds of hope. GRACE Camp, Inc. states that it exists because people give their time, talents, and treasure.

The leadership team includes Rev. Kay Hebert (President), Carol Bates (Vice President Director), Anna Newell (Secretary), Lorna Stevens (Treasurer), Gail Pickering (Sr. Board Member, Agent, Founding Grace Camp Planning Board), Joe Bates (Maintenance Coordinator), and Bethany Legros (IT Coordinator).
