Camp Middlesex offers campers activities such as arts & crafts and archery. The program is proudly tech-free and includes both day and overnight camp options. Food is served family style in the dining hall, where campers sit with their cabin and eat home style meals prepared by the cook.
• Ages: 6–15 years old
Camp Middlesex offers Overnight Camp for ages 8–15 and Day Camp for ages 6–15. The camp maintains a 4:1 camper to counselor ratio, with staff recruited from the local area and through international staffing agencies such as Camp America. Each cabin has space for 8–10 campers and 2 counselors, with centralized bathhouses that have private shower stalls, toilets, and an on-demand hot water system. Day Camp transportation is offered to Littleton, Groton, and Pepperell. Camp Middlesex’s mission is to create a supportive environment for youth and adults to reach their fullest potential. All staff and volunteers have appropriate criminal background checks, and staff complete 2 weeks of training before camp that covers safety, communication, community building, lesson planning, CPR/first aid, behavior management, and health procedures. All senior staff are trained in the field of education, and a licensed RN/LPN is on site 24 hours while camp is in session. The Executive Director is Steven LaFountain. Camp Middlesex is accredited by the American Camp Association and must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the Ashby Board of Health.
