The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston opened its first location in Copley Square in 1870. The Museum’s leadership includes Pierre Terjanian, Ann and Graham Gund Director. The Museum operates under a mission adopted by the Board of Trustees in 2024, guided by a Strategic Plan adopted in 2017 and a Sustainability Statement adopted in 2019. The MFA participates in and contributes to Boston’s civic, cultural, and economic life and holds a renowned collection of nearly 500,000 works. The Museum also offers several access programs for students, including a University Membership Program, the Pozen Community College Access Program, the Lunder Maine Student Membership Program, and the McLane Family New Hampshire Student Membership Program.
