Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South offers out-of-school programs that include after-school, weekend, and summer camp programs. • Price: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South is offering free memberships to all youth ages 5-18. Our memberships are FREE to all youth.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South serves boys and girls from infancy through young adulthood through a combination of after-school, weekend, and summer camp programs. Its stated mission is “to nurture strong minds, healthy bodies and community spirit through youth-driven, high-impact programming in safe and fun environments” to ensure that every child has a positive place to spend their out-of-school time hours. The organization lists values that include Safety, Inclusivity, Integrity, Empowerment, and Access, and states that BGCMS invites all to contribute their talents and meaningfully participate in the active building of a movement that celebrates individuality and fosters a sense of belonging.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South has been honored with the Bronze League of Eagles Award as part of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s League of Eagles organizational recognition program. The organization features a Floor Hockey Hall of Fame with inductees and uses the Blue Spoon Community Kitchen as a program site.
Community involvement includes preparing turkeys for Corline Cronan's Family’s Christmas Day meal delivery to serve Taunton and Raynham residents 700 dinners for pickup or delivery. In partnership with Brunswick Sports Management, Jeffrey Glassman Injury Lawyers, Shaw's and Star Market, and WEEI 93.7, DeMario Douglas and Anfernee Jennings donated turkeys and other Thanksgiving meals to local Boys and Girls Clubs. Team member Shannon Ashton, Lead Recruiter at BJ’s Wholesale Club, volunteers weekly leading the Dance Academy and nominated Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South for a $40,000 grant to help expand out-of-school programs focused on academic success, health and well-being, leadership development, and workforce readiness. SCU Credit Union helps make youth Club memberships free through the “Free to Be” initiative, and Bristol County Savings Bank Charitable Foundation awarded a $20,000 grant to Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South.
