Community Art Center Youth Programs

Community Art Center Youth Programs offers the School Age Child Care Program for youth ages 5-12, the Teen Media Program for youth ages 13-19, the Teen Public Art Program for youth ages 13-19, and the Do It Your Damn Self!! Youth Film Festival planning committee for youth ages 13-19. The program has year-round activities for youth ages 5-19, and the Teen Media Program uses DSLR or phone cameras.

About the provider

Community Art Center Youth Programs was founded in 1937. Its mission is to cultivate an engaged community of youth whose artistic voices transform their lives, their neighborhoods, and their worlds. Youth-led Community Programming includes public art, family engagement initiatives, special events, classes and workshops for families, and arts events. The program also mentions media and design computer labs, the Circle of Support, mental health and transportation services, and up to three full meals a day.

All youth benefit from the Circle of Support, a set of comprehensive wrap-around services. Mental health and transportation services are available, and the program serves up to three full meals a day. The Teen Public Art Program uses a variety of digital and traditional media.
