759 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, #317, Cohasset, MA 02025
About
The Empower Mentor Program and Events offers a one-on-one Mentor Program along with year-round events, including big events and small get-togethers. Children, teens, and young adults are paired with positive role models in the Mentor Program, and mentors have lived experience with the loss of a parent. Events are community-based, non-therapeutic, and are also hosted on difficult days such as Mother’s and Father’s Day.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Events are hosted year-round and on difficult days such as Mother’s and Father’s Day.
• Price: All programs are offered at no charge to the family.
Empower’s mission is to support, connect and empower children and young adults up through age 24 who have experienced the death of a parent. Empower offers grief support for children, teens, and young adults, offering relief from grief and guiding them through life following the loss of a parent. Empower’s programs, by design, are gender-specific, and programs vary by region. In the Southern California area, programs are based on enrollment and volunteer availability, and events are hosted by local mentors and volunteers through the software Meetup. All events and programs are offered at no charge to the family.
