About
FOCUS Summer Programs offers adventure programs, service programs, and leadership programs for students finishing grades 6–12. Each summer, nearly 700 students take part in these programs for a weekend, a week, or sometimes longer. FOCUS hosts several off-site opportunities in addition to its summer offerings, including adventure, service, and leadership programs.
• Ages: 11–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer programs begin in early June and run through late August, with sessions that can last a weekend, a week, or longer.

FOCUS offers a variety of different summer programs designed for students finishing grades 6–12, including Vineyard Service, First-Time Leader, and Internship programs that require an application. The mission of FOCUS is to explore with independent school students a life of faith that is real, adventurous, intellectually sound, and eminently practical. FOCUS was formally established in 1971 as the Fellowship of Christians in Universities and Schools, and its history includes camps and regional programs dating back to the early 1960s. The leadership team includes Dan Walker as FOCUS Executive Director and Peter Moore as founder of FOCUS.
FOCUS has ten local Area Ministries and regional programs in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York, with regional centers of activity throughout the Northeast. Testimonials from students, alumni, and parents describe long-term involvement with FOCUS programs, including weekly meetings, weekend events, ski trips, and summer programs, as well as ongoing support from FOCUS staff and volunteers.
