• Schedule: FA Summer 2026 programs will run from June 22 through Aug. 14; Camp Seafarer and Camp Navigator may be joined for a week or an entire summer.

Falmouth Academy has been educating students since 1977 and is an independent, college-preparatory day school serving grades 7 through 12, with intentionally small class sizes and low student-teacher ratios. Camp Mariner is led by experienced early childhood educators, and faculty and coaches are professionals in their fields, with selected high school or graduates working closely to assist teachers and coaches. The child/counselor ratio for Mariners is 1:5, and for Seafarers and Navigators it is 1:6 for enrichment programs and 1:4 for sports, with many sports programs enrolling up to 20 participants and other programs capped at 10 to 12 campers.

FA Summer is a customizable summer program with half-day or full-day options, and Camp Mariner offers full or half-day options with weekly themes such as Color Jam, Under the Sea, A Pirate's Life, and Great Outdoors. The campus is nut-free, full-day campers bring their own bag lunches, and families are asked to check all ingredients for nuts or peanuts, with cold-filtered water fountains available for filling water bottles. Programs must reach a minimum number of participants to run, and STEM sessions include hands-on projects and outdoor adventures alongside summer camp-style tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s learning style.

Falmouth Academy educates middle school and high school students from Cape Cod, the South Coast, and Martha's Vineyard, including towns such as Duxbury, Plymouth, Marion, Mattapoisett, and Barnstable, and is located near Woods Hole and its ocean research centers. The school notes a curriculum deep in English, history, science, mathematics, and languages, enhanced by offerings such as Arts Across the Curriculum, Science in the Real World, Changing Earth, and over 40-plus electives, and states that teachers have freedom to create educational experiences without state mandates on curriculum, textbooks, and testing. Falmouth Academy’s mission is “Harnessing the power of inspired learning in a world-renowned scientific and vibrant artistic community, Falmouth Academy emboldens each student to take creative and intellectual risks to confidently engage the challenges of our times,” and it is noted for its sustainable campus. One testimonial states, “You learn more here than what is in textbooks—things like humanity, benevolence, honesty, good humor—things that make you an effective and productive social being.”
