YMCA of the North Shore Youth Programs – Glen T. MacLeod Cape Ann YMCA offers activities that include swimming, basketball, yoga, gymnastics, and pickleball. The center also includes an indoor pool, a gymnastics center, basketball courts, a mind body studio, an outdoor splash park, and a theater program. Kids’ Club babysitting is available for children while parents are in the facility.
• Schedule: Facility hours are Sunday 7:00 am–6:30 pm; Monday–Friday 5:00 am–9:00 pm; and Saturday 6:30 am–6:00 pm.
• Price: Child Under 18 starting at $24/month; Two Children Under 18 starting at $48/month; 1 Adult Family starting at $75/month; 2 Adult Family starting at $104/month; 2 Adults starting at $95/month; 3 Adult Family starting at $144/month; 3 Adults starting at $130/month; Senior Couple starting at $74/month; Young Adult starting at $37/month; Senior starting at $42/month; Non-Member starting at $0/month; Adult starting at $59/month.
Kids’ Club drop-in babysitting is free for families with a Family Membership, and children age 6 weeks to 8 years are welcome while parents are in the facility. All Kids’ Club staff are thoroughly screened and certified in CPR and First Aid. The organization offers certification classes for lifeguard, CPR/AED, pediatric and adult first aid, and swim instructor certifications. The YMCA of the North Shore is Praesidium Accredited for prevention of child sexual abuse and is one of 44 YMCA associations out of nearly 800 in the country with this accreditation. The YMCA’s 7 locations partner with dozens of elementary schools to provide before and afterschool child care during the school year. The leadership team at this branch includes Executive Director Erina McWilliam-Lopez and Associate Executive Director Rob Hunt. The facility features EGYM Personalized Fitness Equipment, including an EGYM Smart Circuit that automatically adjusts to the user’s body, guides a 20-minute workout, tracks progress, and lets users track goals and learn their BioAge. The Flexible Pricing program allows individuals and families to participate at rates that fit different budgets.
