About

South Shore YMCA Gymnastics Programs include gymnastics classes, gymnastics birthday parties, and team gymnastics. The programs take place in a state-of-the-art gymnastics facility with a spacious balance beam area, uneven bar training areas, a regulation-sized floor area, a vault area with table, and a tumble track area and spring floor with resi-mat and foam pit landing areas. Programs and classes are offered for toddlers, preschool, pre-k, and kindergarteners, and there is a Synergy gymnastics team for ages 7–18.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Facility hours Monday–Friday 5:00am–10:00pm, Saturday 6:30am–8:00pm, Sunday 7:00am–6:00pm

The staff includes knowledgeable, encouraging instructors and coaches who share decades of experience as athletes, instructors, and coaches. The South Shore YMCA Gymnastics programs are part of the South Shore YMCA, led by President & CEO Trevor Williams, with Kara Protulis listed as the contact for South Shore YMCA Gymnastics programs. The stated goal of the gymnastics program is to give children of all ages and abilities a variety of programs that will challenge them both physically and mentally and a chance to belong, and to foster a love of gymnastics through expert instruction, positive experiences, and leadership. The South Shore YMCA states that its mission is to help people be better, to help them become a better version of themselves, and that “The Better You Belongs Here.”

The South Shore Y is described as a charity, and it states that gifts offer children, families, and seniors a chance to belong. One member testimonial notes that the facility is “amazing,” mentions that there are always improvements in the making, and describes the staff as helpful and friendly, with programs available for both very young participants and the older generation.
