Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holyoke Youth Programs

Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holyoke Youth Programs includes the After School Program, Summer Program, Teen Center, and Satellite Units. It also offers Academic Success activities with homework help, STEM, technology, digital safety, summer learning, and literacy, plus Power Hour homework help and tutoring, DIY STEM modules such as Energy & Electricity, Engineering Design, Food Chemistry, Aeronautics, Robotics, and Science of Sports: Football.

Programs

• After School Program (ASP) — kindergarten through 13 years old · Licensed by the Department of Early Education & Care. Offers programs in three core areas: Education and career; health and life skills; Good character and citizenship.
• Summer Program — youth entering grades 1-13 · Summer Camp offering a full day of learning and fun during the summer with age-appropriate activities in a safe environment.
• Teen Center — Teen Program / Night Program that empowers teens to excel in school, become good citizens and lead healthy, productive lives.
• Satellite Units — Satellite units in various Holyoke Housing Authority communities.
• Academic Success — members ages 5-18 · Programs focused on homework help, STEM, technology, digital safety, summer learning, and literacy.
• Power Hour: Making Minutes Count — members ages 5-18 · Academic support with daily homework help, tutoring, high-yield learning activities, goal-setting, progress tracking, and a Power Points reward system.
• DIY STEM — youth ages 9-12 · Hands-on STEM exploration with curriculum modules including Energy & Electricity, Engineering Design, Food Chemistry, Aeronautics, Robotics, and Science of Sports: Football.
• Essentials Technology Program — members of all ability levels · Foundational technology skills through project-based activities across three themes: Building, Exploring, and Communicating.
• NetSmartz Internet Safety Workshop — Internet safety workshop covering cyberbullying prevention, social media responsibility, safe messaging, and protecting personal information.
• Summer Brain Gain — elementary, middle, and high school students · Week-long project-based summer learning modules with discovery, creative expression, team collaboration, and a final project or production.
• Summer Brain Gain: Read! — Literacy program with a new book each week and engaging activities that deepen comprehension and spark imagination.
• Character & Leadership — Service projects are facilitated weekly. · Good Character & Citizenship programs promoting leadership capabilities and community involvement.
