The program is connected to concerts, dance performances, theatrical performances, open mics, jazz jams, a Children’s Entertainment Series, student showcases, musical performances, art exhibitions, and live concerts.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Classes and events are available on weekdays and weekends during daytime and evening hours, with general hours listed as Monday–Friday and Saturday–Sunday coverage across morning, afternoon, and some evening times.
At Hopkinton Center for the Arts, the mission is to foster joy and belonging by artfully engaging a community where the creative spirit thrives. The organization became an official 501(c)(3) non-profit in March 2011, opened its new arts center in 2015, and in 2016 used gifted funds to renovate the farmhouse’s first floor into a ceramics studio. The Hopkinton Center for the Arts is a Blue Star Museum.
The program offers classes for students of all ages and skill levels, including group classes, workshops, private lessons, and scholarships. It hosts year-round theatrical, dance, and musical performances, as well as art exhibitions with admission that is always free and open to the public. It also offers rentals for parties and events in a creative setting.
Hopkinton Center for the Arts partners with the Mass Cultural Council to offer the Card to Culture program, which provides most event tickets at no cost to EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare card holders, with up to four tickets per card holder per event when the card is presented in person at the HCA Box Office; EBT transactions are not processed for concessions, so cash or other payment is required for those purchases. HCA Insider-Plus Members and above receive Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) and North American Reciprocal Museums (NARM) reciprocal benefits. The organization participates in the ROAM and NARM programs, is supported by the Hopkinton Community Endowment, Massachusetts Cultural Council, Franklin Center for the Arts, Hopkinton CPC and ADA funding, and community donors including the Delbridge and Lotvin families. It collaborates with Hopkinton’s community theater, Enter Stage Left Theater, which is the resident theater company.
