Mad Science of Western New England offers hands-on science programs for children. Activities include electricity, magnetism, optics, biology, engineering, physics, chemistry, rockets, robots, invention, science experiments, rocket launches, hovercraft rides, cotton candy making, and take-home toys or home activities in some offerings.
Programs
- After-School Programs — Designed for kids ages 5-12. · 1-hour class per week for 6, 8, 10 or 12 weeks; offered on-site or virtually/live, interactive. · Hands-on science programs themed around a particular area of science; topics include electricity, magnetism, optics, biology, engineering, physics, chemistry, and more.
- Workshops — Designed for kids ages 4-12. · 30-minute preschool sessions and 60-minute elementary-school sessions; single sessions or a series. · Curriculum-correlated, hands-on preschool and elementary-level workshops for schools, libraries, camps, community centers, scouts, and other group settings.
- Summer and School Vacation Programs — For kids. · Half-day and full-day programs; summer or school vacation programs. · Summer activity weeks with hands-on programs and topics including rockets, robots, chemistry, invention and more.
- Birthday Parties — For kids. · On-site interactive parties with science experiments, rocket launches, hovercraft rides, cotton candy making, and goody bags.
- Special Events - Shows and Discovery Stations — For kids. · Stage shows and interactive discovery centers for group events.
- Special Events & Assemblies — For students. · On-site, in-school, and community science shows and fun stations for school events and science nights.

About the provider
For over 30 years, Mad Science has provided innovative, hands-on children's science programs to communities. Its mission is fostering a love for science, technology, engineering and math at a young age to give children confidence to excel in these fields.
After-school programs are available on-site when permitted or virtually/online in a live, interactive format. Workshops are ideal for schools, libraries, summer camps, community centers, and scouts. Many workshops are curriculum correlated to state standards.
