About

The Junior Summer Program uses the QuickStart format with appropriately sized balls and rackets. It offers 2-, 3-, and 4-day options. Juniors ages 6-12 also get time for swimming after a morning of tennis.

Programs

  • Junior Summer Program — ages 4-12 · 2-, 3-, and 4-day options
  • Youth program — ages 5 and up · after school; 1 hour classes; weekly; multiple week sessions throughout the school year · Introductory program for children. Professional instruction is provided for each age group to develop tennis fundamentals, hand-eye coordination, fitness awareness, self-esteem, and confidence.
  • Junior development program — ages 8-18 · Sundays; 1½ hours; multiple week sessions throughout the school year · Split into beginner, high intermediate, and advanced levels. Players develop rally and playing skills through drills, point situations, and match play. Junior members receive discounted rates.
  • Future stars — intermediate players · after-school; weekday classes; multiple week sessions · Invitation only. Uses orange or green dot balls. Instructors focus on developing basic skills through drilling, with more focus on point play and match play.
  • Junior academy — advanced competitive junior players · after-school; weekday classes; multiple week sessions; weekly in-house match play · Invitation only. Designed for advanced competitive junior players. Instructors focus on footwork, fitness, technique, strategy, match play, point situations, and mental toughness.
  • USTA travel team — 14 & under and 18 & under · Saturdays during the fall/winter season; Fridays during the summer season · Players must be a junior club member and a USTA member. Teams consist of boy's and girl's singles/doubles, and mixed doubles.

About the provider

  • Lessons & clinics — juniors and adults · private lessons in half-hour increments; clinics in 1 hour or 1½ hour increments for 8 weeks · Private lessons are offered to juniors and adults of all abilities. Semi-private and tri-private lessons are also offered. Clinics work 4 players with one teaching professional.
  • Adult programs — adults · week-to-week; Wednesdays 11-1pm; Saturdays afternoons; Fridays mornings; Wednesday mornings; Thursday mornings · Includes drill sessions, men's round robin, travel teams, USTA leagues, CMITA, SNEITA, BTC, and DBHITL.

Save $5 off the rate for each sibling after the first child. Program tuition may be eligible for the childcare credit. Members receive discounted rates for lessons and clinics. Junior members receive discounted rates for the junior development program. Players must be a junior club member and a USTA member to play in the USTA travel team. Enrollment in Future stars and Junior academy is by invitation only.
