About
Gymazing Afterschool Program includes arts and crafts, imaginative play, guided activities, homework help, active play, sports, tennis coaching, swim time in the pool, active play on the turf, and creative adventures in Gymazing. The program takes place at Manchester Athletic Club (MAC), which is home to the MAC Tennis Training Center and Gymazing Child Care. Children may be signed up for a single 2-hour session each day.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: After school options Monday–Friday from 2:30–6:00pm during the school year, with additional early release days, full days, and holiday break programs; families may register for one 2-hour session per day
• Price: Member Pricing – 1 After School Day: $70/day; 3 After School Days: $210/week; 5 After School Days: $300/week; Early Release Days: $105/day; Full Day Programs: $120/day. Non-Member Pricing – 1 After School Day: $105/day; 3 After School Days: $315/week; 5 After School Days: $525/week; Early Release Days: $140/day; Full Day Programs: $160/day. A MAC membership for the participating child is required to receive member pricing.
The afterschool program states that it is more than just care and describes a focus on learning, exploring, and growing in a safe and supportive environment, with homework help, active play, sports, and engaging activities that promote creativity and curiosity, as well as attention to social and emotional development, confidence, teamwork, and friendships. Gymazing Child Care is described as award winning and offers parents the opportunity to use the club’s facilities while their child is in care. For over 50 years, Manchester Athletic Club has been the epicenter for tennis activities for all levels and ages and is described as New England’s finest tennis training facility, with 9 tennis courts, 4 pickleball courts, two heated pools, a basketball court, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and 5 dedicated group exercise rooms, along with over 85 group fitness classes per week and over 100 pieces of state-of-the-art fitness equipment.
Gymazing offers 2 hours of complimentary childcare per day with membership, with separate spaces for children to play by age in the child care facility. Gymazing is open 7 days a week, with hours Monday–Sunday 8:00am–12:00pm and Monday–Thursday 3:00–7:00pm, and reservations are required and can be made up to 6 days in advance. Maximum capacities are listed as 7–10 children indoors for ages 0–3 years and 40 children outside for ages 3–12 years during the summer months. Members and guests must remain in the club while a child is in Gymazing, all children must be signed in and out by the same parent or legal guardian, photo ID may be required, and a Gymazing employee will only release a child to another person if prior arrangements and a waiver form are completed.
