Camp Six Acres

Camp Six Acres offers summer day camp activities that include swim lessons, recreational swim, arts and crafts, STEM activities, sports and games, and playground free choice. The sports and games listed include basketball, gaga, soccer, volleyball, once-a-week archery, wiffleball, Capture-the-Flag, and Bombardment. Returning campers entering eighth and ninth grades can also take part in the C.I.T. program.

The program is non-sectarian and is owned and operated by Temple Shalom William and Charlotte Bloomberg Jewish Community Center. Its mission statement says the program is designed to encompass recreation, education, and well-being, and it emphasizes self-esteem, individual interests, autonomy, personal growth, physical fitness, recreational activities, friendship, safety, and well-being.

If pool operations are disrupted or daily pool time cannot be accommodated, alternative water play activities will be introduced.
