Fells Forest Camp includes guided hikes and special events as part of its summer Fells Forest Camp programming. Participants also assist with hikes, remove invasive species, and clean up trails as part of the activities offered through the program.

The program is part of an organization whose mission is promoting the conservation, appreciation, and sustainable enjoyment of the Fells. Its work is connected to guided walks, a monthly guide of nature happenings called Found in the Fells, and iNaturalist guides of the Fells produced by partner Earthwise Aware. The organization describes its approach as “knitting nature back together in the Fells” and invites people to get involved through partnerships, supporters, volunteering, advocacy emails, membership, donations, and visits.
