Camp Avoda is an all-boys camp that offers a balanced program with flexibility in choosing activities such as sports, waterfront, individual achievement opportunities, and arts. The camp includes time unplugged from social media, with an emphasis on real-life activities and interactions. Camp Avoda accommodates all dietary and activity restrictions and includes Shabbat services as part of camp life, with Judaism serving as a backdrop to everyday life.

Camp Avoda has a history of 100 Years of Spirit & Tradition and is described as one of the oldest and most respected Jewish summer camps on the East Coast. Counselors are handpicked based on their experience, maturity, skills, and values, and about 95% of counselors are former campers who grew up at Avoda. The camp is limited to only 150 campers, and the oldest campers mentor the youngest campers in this all-boys environment, which is intended to reduce social pressures present at co-ed camps. Camp Avoda designs programs that build self-confidence and independence, and a virtual tour is available. One camp song or slogan says, “There’s none so fair and none so rare as dear old A-V-O-D-A!”
