About

S.E.T. School is a Science, Engineering & Technology after-school enrichment program for children in grades 1–12 that focuses on hands-on projects and curiosity-driven, playful learning. The program includes lab-style experiments, design challenges, robotics, programming, creative projects, team activities, and options to participate in Science Olympiad and FLL-style workshop challenges. Students work on activities such as experiments about living things, earth and space, engineering with LEGO systems, simple machines, electronics, web design, Scratch, Python, animation and film techniques, math exploration, public speaking, essay writing, creative writing, and adventure-style problem solving like “Dungeon Quest.”

Participants also take part in team challenges, Science Fair prep, action contraptions, LEGO design, circuits and motors, electronics labs, Electric Toys, HTML/web projects, stop-motion animation, and Minecraft with Raspberry Pi. The program’s four tracks—Science, Engineering, Technology, and Other Subjects—include activities such as geometry and fractions, Dungeon Quest, and Destination Imagination team challenges, all made with hands-on learning in mind.

• Ages: 6–17 years old

The mission of S.E.T. School is to excite a love of learning through hands-on activities and stimulating challenges because it states that kids learn best when they’re having fun. The program presents STEM in a broad, humanistic way, encouraging students to explore, ponder, research, and discover the wonders around them, and students can join to compete in events like Science Olympiad or FLL or participate in the projects without competition.
