NISDA Youth Art Classes and Workshops offers hands-on activities in ceramics, photography, textile work, drawing, painting, and sculpture. The program takes place within a broader arts setting that also includes a children’s art program, the Silo Gallery, and an extensive art book library as part of NISDA’s offerings.
NISDA is now in its fourth decade. Its Arts and Educational Mission is to explore the connections of the arts, sciences, humanities, and the environment, and to enhance education, community, and quality of life through arts stewardship. NISDA is dedicated to sharing the spirit and creativity that the arts bring into people’s lives. Generations of students, islanders, summer visitors, and student and professional artists have explored the arts in its workshops. NISDA is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization.
