Onset Bay Center Youth Programs

Onset Bay Center Youth Programs offers high-quality, on-the-water programs where kids take part in sailing, paddling, rowing, shellfishing, and other watersports and exploration activities. The program includes year-round youth options such as afterschool activities, weekend classes, and special excursion programs, along with environmental explorations.

• Ages: 8–15 years old

The programs are run by highly trained and qualified staff, with program safety and certification protocols in place. Onset Bay Center Youth Programs is led by Center Manager Angie Weldon and draws on a complex of scenic, diverse natural lands on Onset Bay for its activities. The Buzzards Bay Coalition, which runs these programs, is a membership-supported organization dedicated to improving the health of the Buzzards Bay ecosystem for all through education, conservation, research, and advocacy, and it is an Accredited Land Trust. Buzzards Bay Coalition states that it believes everyone who lives in the Buzzards Bay watershed should have access to experience its natural wonders. The youth programs are part of a broader set of offerings that also include adult and family programs with outdoor and on-the-water activities, clubs, meditation, yoga, and environmental explorations. Programs at Onset Bay Center began in July 2020.
