Camp Russell

Camp Russell offers Day Camp and Sports Camp for grades K through 8, with completion of Kindergarten required. Day Camp includes swim time, nature adventures, arts and crafts, and group games. Sports Camp includes athletic-based activities, different sports throughout the day, and sport-specific trainings. The program also offers Leader In Training for entering grades 9 and 10, where teens work with counselors to help with campers, and Recreational Therapy for ages 6 to 22 with an Independent Education Program (IEP).

• Day Camp — Grades K through 8; must have completed Kindergarten · Campers explore age-appropriate structured, supervised activities, including swim time, nature adventures, arts and crafts, and group games. Boys & Girls Club membership required.
• Sports Camp — Grades K through 8; must have completed Kindergarten · Athletic-based activities organized by age. Campers can choose different sports to play throughout the day and take part in sport-specific trainings. Boys & Girls Club membership required.
• Leader In Training (L.I.T.) — Entering grades 9 & 10 · Teens learn teamwork-oriented leadership skills and build self-confidence while working with counselors to help with campers. Boys & Girls Club membership required.
• Recreational Therapy — Ages 6 to 22 with an Independent Education Program (IEP)

About the provider

Camp Russell operates from June through August each year. Campers are organized into age appropriate groups with a 2:10 staff ratio. Drop-off at the Boys & Girls Club is no earlier than 8am and pick-up is no later than 4pm unless registered for Active After Schoolers or Extended Play. Parent drop off and pick up at camp is no earlier than 8:30am and no later than 3:30pm. The camp store operates this year and takes cash only. Free lunch is provided daily through the Pittsfield Public School department.

Membership required for Day Camp, Sports Camp, Leader In Training, and Recreational Therapy. Must have completed Kindergarten for Day Camp and Sports Camp. Additional fees apply to Active After Schoolers and Extended Play.
