Junior Gymnastics and Junior Adventure Warrior are full-day only options, and Jr. Adventure Warrior campers complete an art project each day. The Saugus Family YMCA lists Amy Looney as the Branch Executive Director. The Saugus Family YMCA states that it has been a place to play, learn, be healthy, and give back in the community since 1965. Its mission statement for these programs is that they celebrate the value of each individual and challenge campers and staff to be all that they can be. All camps meet Massachusetts Department of Public Health regulations and are licensed by the Board of Health, and YMCA camps state that they prioritize a safe, healthy environment for children by following health expert and local guidelines for hygiene and sanitation.
The YMCA of Metro North notes that a membership is a value that can include access to group exercise classes, gym time, family swim, Child Watch while adults work out, access to join the outdoor pool club, and discounted rates on programming. The organization reports that it provides over $200,000 in financial assistance each year so its programs and services are accessible to all, and that it offers youth enrichment opportunities for all ages through sports, art, and recreation. It also notes that every interaction with young people is treated as an opportunity for learning and development, and that the outdoor pool and splash pad give families and the community a chance to come together to enjoy time together.
