The Salvation Army Camp Wonderland includes activities such as singing silly songs around the campfire and making s’mores. The Salvation Army Camp Wonderland is an ACA accredited camp. It is described as “the happy summer place” and “The Happy Summer Place!” The camp’s mission is to provide a low cost opportunity for children who would otherwise not be able to attend summer camp and to minister and provide a wonderful camp experience to children ages 6–12 from across Massachusetts. Camp Wonderland offers a Christian environment with daily Praise Times, fun and energetic daily devotions, and non-denominational services each Sunday, along with cabin devotions with counselors at night. The mission also states that each camper is to see Christ’s love in action, have new experiences, try new activities, and experience community living while respecting and celebrating the abilities, cultures, genders, races, and religions of those whose experience differs from their own. Attending summer camp at Camp Wonderland is described as a fantastic opportunity to take a break from screens and experience a community unlike any other, and each moment at camp is described as an opportunity to experience the love of God.
