Elements Learning Collaborative

Elements Learning Collaborative offers activities such as exploring and engaging with nature, gardening and foraging, hand crafts and life skills, literacy and mathematics, geography and social studies, science and engineering, social and emotional skills, art and music, and movement, yoga, and meditation. The Summer Elements Nature Camp shares these experiences in week long sessions through a hands-on learning approach and an open-ended emergent curriculum based on the seasons, with students’ interests and multiple intelligences guiding the flow of the holistic learning experience.

Elements Learning Collaborative was formed in 2018. Its mission is providing holistic, joyful, nature-based education to a diverse group of children and families. Elements offers programs year round and describes itself as a healthy alternative learning option for Southcoast families. Elements Learning Collaborative, Inc. utilizes nature and the community as the source of resources to create an open-ended emergent curriculum and states that a healthy connection to one's community is crucial for children to become positive contributors to society. The leadership team includes co-founders Cristy O’Brien and Rachel Medeiros.
